HOVER makes it easier for you to define the product colors while ordering your job materials!
Our color grouping automation functionality saves time during the ordering process by allowing an admin in a Transform/Direct Ordering organization to automatically define color matching rules for their organization, so that auto color selection can be used on even more products. If a certain project doesn’t require the product colors to match, you can override the automation and manually select the desired colors, instead.
How it works:
When you select
Manage workflows, you will see an option titled Color Grouping Rules.
When you select
Color Grouping Rules(either the link in the sidebar or the tile) you will be taken to a new page where you can view and manage the color grouping rules for your org. On this page, you can manage existing rules (ie, toggle on and off, edit, and delete).
You can also create your own rule by clicking
+ Create Rule. When doing so, name the rule, describe it, and then select a category(s) of products where the colors always match.Note: The categories in the dropdown will only be those applicable to the organization and a category can only appear in one rule (so categories used in other rules will be filtered out when trying to create a new rule).
When a category is selected, we will show the count of the products in that category assigned to the org. The user can click the products link to bring up a modal showing all the products in that category.
When you're happy with the rule, click
Savewhich will take you back to the main page where you will see the new rule in an inactive state. Click the toggle to activate the rule.
Once the rule is active, whenever a color is defined for a product in either the Estimator or the Project Scope, the matching logic will run in the background and if a match is detected, we will auto select the same color for the other product(s).
