A: Yes, Hover estimates for roofing and siding are available across all co-branded and white label apps. It is not limited to any specific app.

Who is this for?

A: This can be used by exterior contractors who create roofing estimates regularly, as well as exterior contractors who skew toward retail businesses that do partial or full siding work as well.

Do I need to purchase a membership plan to use Hover Estimates?

A: Yes, organizations that have purchased the Transform membership plan will have Hover Estimates enabled for them.

On which devices can I create a siding estimate?

A: Estimates can be created and viewed on any device and are optimized for mobile tablets and phones for easy use in the field. Once saved, they can be viewed by any other user in their organization with access to the job on any device, as well.

Which trades does Hover Estimates support?

A: We support the following trades: Roofing, Siding, Soffit, Fascia, Gutters, and Skylights

NOTE: We can assess feasibility of windows on a case-by-case basis.

Who in an org can create new estimates?

A: All users in an org can create and save a new estimate if the org has Hover Estimates enabled.

Who in an org can access an estimate that's already been created an/or sold? How?

A: Users with the role of Job Manager or Admin can access all estimates (both created and sold) via the Project List page.

Utilizing Hover Estimates


How much control do I have over the scope-input and how calculations are made?

A: As a new Transform org, you will work closely with a Technical Onboarding Specialist during your onboarding process to customize your organization's Hover account to reflect your unique estimation process.

Everything you set up during the onboarding process will be reflected in the project scope questionnaire you complete for each new estimate. You can also review which inputs were selected in an estimate using the Estimation Summary feature.

Also, if you use 3rd party estimation software, Hover can integrate with most modern CRMs that provide configurable UI and UI actions, event triggers, bidirectional API capabilities and configurable object/fields for storing the structured data.

Is the process and output for each trade separate or in one place?

A: All trades configured for an organization can be combined into one or multiple estimates. You can select any trade and template, answer a few questions, and then receive an estimate details page that displays all estimates and pricing. From there, you can decide which estimate(s) to proceed with.

How do I make changes to the project scope questionnaire or calculations overtime (ex: pricing changes, new materials)?

A: Admins can make updates to the project scope questionnaire and calculations overtime from the "Manage Workflows" page.

Make pricing updates for line items from the "Line Items" tab, or adjust available colors from the "Color Grouping Rules" tab.

To add a new material, reach out to your Technical Onboarding Specialist.

NOTE: Real-time pricing is not possible for estimates, as we cannot know at the time of sale which distributor will be selected for material ordering. Pricing must be hard-coded to use in material calculations.

How can I adjust estimates or see different options (ex: GBB)?

A: You can create multiple quotes at the same time without any extra effort. All the trades and templates you select will be calculated for you, based on your scope-input, and you can select which to show or include in your quote.

How is waste factor calculated and how do I adjust it?

A: From the "Manage Workflows" > "Calculation Preferences" tab, you can adjust the siding waste factor. If you do not set this up, the default for all jobs will be set at 10% for areas with openings less than 33 SQFT.

For partial estimates, do you also update the line segment measurements?

A: Yes, partial line segments (i.e. drip edge, outside/inside corners, etc) are updated based on which faces of the property were selected in the scope.

Can I create an estimate for a failed job?

A: Yes! Open the failed job in your Hover app and click + Create estimate

After selecting your project scope, toggle to the Line Segments tab on the estimation tool and manually input each measurement.
