Hover Workspace brings design, measurements, and estimating into one place so you can work through a project from start to finish without switching tools. It’s built on Hover’s measurement foundation and trained on millions of homes, so you can trust the numbers as you move from planning to pricing.
What's included:
2D Design - Create and edit, photorealistic designs from a single photo.
3D Design - Refine the design and scope the project on a scaled 3D model.
Measurements - View and add measurements directly on the 3D model.
Estimates - Build a production estimate from your 3D design.
Note: This update is part of a phased release and may not be available to all users yet. If your experience looks different, or you’d like early access, please contact our Support team.
Entering Workspace
You can open Workspace directly from the Project Details Page in a few different ways. Selecting the Design, 3D, or Measurements card will all take you into Workspace. Each option opens Workspace in the mode related to the card you selected.
If you choose the Measurements card, select the 3D option to open Workspace and view measurements on the model. This lets you jump straight into the part of Workspace you need, without extra steps or switching modes after you enter.
Navigating Workspace
You can sketch ideas in 2D, step into 3D to apply materials and scope the job from every angle, review measurements right on the model, and generate an estimate using quantities pulled directly from the 3D design.
2D Design
2D Design
2D Design mode is where you start when you want to create quick, photorealistic designs from a single photo. It is ideal for helping homeowners explore ideas, compare styles, and get clear on what they want before you talk through measurements or pricing.
This is the fastest way to spark interest, build confidence, and move the conversation forward.
3D Design
3D Design
3D Design mode is used once you have a full scan of the home and the scaled model is ready for review. Here, you can view and edit the property in 3D, work with precise facets, apply materials with full control, and prepare the design for estimating.
This mode is built for scoping decisions and connecting design choices directly to the estimate.
Measurements
Measurements
Measurements mode puts the 3D model and measurements in one place. Measurements show up directly on the model and update as you switch between areas, so you can see the numbers and the surfaces together without jumping between tools.
Draw your own distance lines directly on the 3D model in Workspace. You can add multiple measurements at once, keep them visible as you move around the model, and adjust or remove them whenever needed.
You can now build a production estimate straight from your 3D design. After you’ve finished selecting roof, siding, and other materials, you can generate an estimate that reflects exactly what you designed.
This keeps your design and estimating connected, so you don’t have to set things up twice or manually enter details. Your material selections carry through automatically, helping you avoid missed items and input errors.
Please note that the ability to transfer a design from 2D to 3D is in early innovation and limitations apply.
