Invite policyholders to do a quick and easy virtual inspection with the Hover app using Hover Connect:

  • Remove the need for on-site visits, and speed up the claims process so the policyholder can get back to normal, faster

  • Receive to-the-inch measurements and damage imagery derived from photos taken by the policy holder

  • Boost policyholder satisfaction by resolving settlements with fewer hold ups, and improve transparency with 3D visualizations

Getting started with Hover Connect

Step by step guide


Step 1 - Invite the policyholder to download the Hover app:

You can send the invitation via the mobile or web app.

From the mobile app:

  • From the home screen, tap Invite a homeowner to capture

  • Fill out the homeowner's information for the invite, tap Next

  • Fill out property info, tap Send invitation

From the web:

  • Log into your Hover account

  • Tap Projects

  • Tap Invite to capture

Pro tip: you can also invite a homeowner from the mobile app by tapping the "+" and then tapping "Invite to capture"

Step 2 - The policyholder takes pictures of their home with Hover:

  • They will receive an invitation to download Hover via email and text message.

  • Once the homeowner takes pictures of their property with the Hover app and submits them, you will see the property in your Projects list.

Step 3 - Receive the 3D model and measurements:

You will receive an email and push notification when the interactive 3D model and all the exterior measurements are ready. This is also the point in which you will be billed.

Messaging is key to success when inviting a homeowner to take part in the claims handling process. We recommend positioning Hover as a simple, virtual inspection platform that eliminates the need for an adjuster to visit the homeowner on-site and speeds up the claims process so the homeowner can get back to normal as quickly as possible.

FAQ


Does the homeowner have to pay for this?

No, the homeowner will not be charged for downloading the app or for submitting photos of their property through the app.

Will the homeowner receive reminders?

Yes, the homeowner will receive 2 additional reminder emails and/or text messages. The first reminder will go out 3 days after the invite was sent, and the second reminder will go out a week after the initial invitation.

What should I do when the homeowner has multiple property structures that are damaged?

Send out a new invitation for each structure. Note that the homeowner will only receive one invitation email and/or text message to download the Hover app. Once they download the app, they will see all the properties they are required to submit photos for.

How will I know that the homeowner has submitted photos of their home and that the 3D model is ready?

In the property details page, you can see whether the homeowner registered with Hover and submitted the photos. We also send you an email once they have uploaded photos of their home and when the 3D model and measurements PDF are ready.

At what point will I be billed?

You will be billed when you receive the 3D model with all exterior measurements.

Can I delete the invite after I've sent it to the homeowner?

Yes, you can delete the invite at any time. Once you delete the invite, the homeowner will no longer be able to submit photos of their home to you.

Can I archive the job if the homeowner doesn't capture their property?

Yes, you can archive the job so it no longer appears in your Projects page by clicking 'Archive.' You can unarchive the job again when the lead reaches out in the future by tapping 'Unarchive.'
