Overview
Our newest beta capability lets you carry material selections from your 2D Design directly into the 3D model and material quantities, after your scan has processed. This helps you move from early inspiration into detailed scoping without starting from scratch.
The beta version of design transfer allows you to send one material selection per trade (walls, roof, and trim) from your 2D design into the 3D environment. Future updates will expand the transfer capability so more design decisions can move directly from 2D into 3D.
How to use it:
Complete your 2D design, customizing and selecting the specific material that you want transferred to 3D.
Confirm the scan has processed and is ready for review.
Use the feature switcher in the action bar, selecting 3D.
One material per trade (walls, roof, and trim) will carry over to the matching facet in 3D.
Pro Tip: For quick reference, save your design in 2D before transferring to 3D.
