What's New? You can now create a production estimate directly from your 3D design. Once you’ve finished customizing your roof, siding, and other materials, you can instantly generate a production estimate that reflects your design selections.
This workflow connects the 3D design experience to estimating, reducing the need for manual setup and ensuring your chosen materials flow seamlessly into your production estimate. Avoid details falling through the cracks from one app to another or human error with manual inputs.
Overview
After you finish designing your project in Hover, choosing your shingles, siding, and finishes, just save your design and start your estimate. You’ll pick the template that fits your project, and Hover will automatically fill in your design choices to create a complete, measurement-based estimate without any extra data entry.

How it works
Open your 3D Model: From your Project Details Page, open the 3D model of your property.
Customize the Design: Choose your preferred materials—such as roof shingles, siding, or trim—and apply them to the model.
Example: Select GAF Timberline shingles for the roof and board-and-batten siding for the walls.
Save Your Design: Click Save Design to capture your selections. You’ll name and save it before starting your estimate.
Start Estimate: Open the Design details tab from the menu, select the trade (roof or walls) and tap Start Estimate.
Select the Template: Once saved, select the appropriate template (for example, Timberline for roofing). Hover automatically maps your design choices to an estimate template with the most relevant line items that correspond to your design .
Create Estimate: Click Create Estimate to generate your production estimate. Your selected materials and variations automatically populate into the estimate view.
Review and Adjust: Review the estimate details. You can edit costs, add variations, or fine-tune any line items as needed.
