Setting Up Your Team in Hover

Follow these steps to get your construction team ready to work in Hover.

Updated today

As a Hover Admin, you can manage your entire organization from one place: inviting new members, assigning roles, and keeping your team’s access up to date. Follow these steps to get your construction team set up and ready to work efficiently in Hover.

1. Access the Team Page

Only Hover Admins can manage team settings.

To open the Team page:

  1. Log in to your Hover account.

  2. In the left-hand navigation, click Team.

  3. You’ll see a list of all members in your organization (and any sub-organizations).

2. Add a New Team Member

Invite your team members directly from the Team page.

  1. Click Invite Member.

  2. Enter their name and email address.

  3. Choose the appropriate role (see next section).

  4. Click Send Invite. Your teammate will receive an email invitation to join Hover.

Tip: New users can download the Hover mobile app and log in with the same email address once their invitation is accepted.

3. Assign Roles and Permissions

Hover roles determine what access and controls each user has.

Available roles include:

  • Admin: Full access to manage the organization, billing, and user roles.

  • Manager: Can view and manage team projects, but cannot edit billing or roles.

  • User: Can create and submit projects.

  • Viewer: Read-only access for reviewing projects and reports.

Review your team’s access regularly to ensure the right people have the right permissions.

4. Edit, Reassign, or Remove Users

You can manage team access at any time from the Team page.

  • To edit a role: Click the user’s name, select a new role, and save.

  • To reassign a user: Move projects or permissions to another team member before removal.

  • To remove access: Click Remove Member and confirm.

5. Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) (Optional)

If your organization uses SSO, you can streamline login and user management.

  • Visit our SSO Setup & User Guide for step-by-step instructions.

  • Once SSO is enabled, team members can log in using their existing company credentials.
