How to Customize the Model

An overview of Design Pro, HOVER's interactive 3D design experience.

With HOVER, a 3D model is automatically created for you with every exterior project, so you can visualize the products you sell on your customer's home. Simply open the 3D model for any job in the mobile app or on your desktop, then easily edit roofing, siding, trim, windows and more with the materials and colors of brands you sell.

What is Design Pro?


Design Pro is HOVER's interactive 3D design experience, which allows you to virtually build any home according to any design preferences your client has.

How does it work?

Design Pro features include:

  1. Changing the look of any face (for example, change brick to siding)

  2. Splitting any face to apply different materials (for example, add shakes in a gable)

  3. Saving a design - Revisit the design whenever you or your client wants.

  4. Navigating around the house - Set up a virtual tour of the new design.

Note: It is possible to split a face as many times as you need to, but take note of the following:

  • With horizontal splits, start at the bottom and work your way up. Once you add a horizontal split, no additional splits can be added below the line.

  • With vertical splits, start on the right and work your way toward the left. Once you add a vertical split, no additional splits can be added to the right of the line.

You can easily remove a split, any time. Here's how.

How to access Design Pro


Design Pro is currently available on desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. To access it, open any job in your account and select the "3D Model" option to get started. There's no cost to use Design Pro's features on a completed job.
