Use Hover to scan a house, garage, shed, or other buildings at the same address in one exterior project - making it easier to manage properties with multiple buildings more efficiently. Add, delete, or rename structures anytime during the workflow, scan and complete inspection tasks in whichever order makes the most sense to you, then submit everything together. Each structure still gets its own measurements PDF and 3D model which can all be found from the same project details page.

How multi-structure projects work
Think of it as one project with multiple structures inside it.
All structures share one Job ID.
All structures appear on the same Project Details Page.
Each structure is processed independently, delivered separately, and accessed individually.
For Xactimate and Cotality integrations, all structures can be imported into the same claim.
Start the project and add structures
Note: These steps and visuals assume your account has Hover Inspections enabled. If you don't, your Overview screen will look largely the same, just without inspection entry points.
From the mobile app, tap Start a project.
Choose Exterior measurements.
Enter the property details and tap Get started.
On the Overview screen tap Add structure for each additional building. You can add up to 20 structures per project.
Additions will be auto-named and numbered (e.g., Structure 1, Structure 2, etc.)
To rename a structure, tap the ellipses "..."
You can rename or add more structures anytime before the final submission.
You can also delete structures before you submit the project, as long as you haven’t performed the measurement scan for it yet. If you complete a measurement scan for a structure, it cannot be deleted; it will be submitted as part of the project.
Scan and inspect in any order
The Overview screen is your hub. From here, you can complete measurement scans and inspection tasks in any order. Completed, in-progress, and not-yet-started tasks will be visually distinct at a glance.
From the Overview screen, begin with whichever structure you prefer, and choose whether to complete the measurement scan first, or begin with the inspection tasks*.
When you finish scanning an exterior structure, tap Start inspection to move into its inspection tasks, or tap Go to overview to skip them.
You can move freely between a structure’s measurement scan and its inspection tasks.
*Tip: Even though you can begin inspections before the scan has been completed, we recommend scanning every structure before you complete inspection tasks. Since measurements and models start processing as soon as Hover receives all required photos - even before you've submitted the full project - following this recommendation gets your results back sooner.
Submit your project
When you're ready, tap Submit from the bottom of the Overview screen.
Review the pop-up. It asks whether you’re ready to submit and lists any incomplete tasks.
You can submit the project with incomplete tasks if you wish, as long as the incomplete tasks were never started. If incomplete tasks were started but unfinished, you cannot submit the project until they’re done.
Confirm to submit.
Important: Incomplete inspection tasks can be finished after the submission, but measurement scans cannot. Make sure every structure that requires measurements has been properly scanned before your final submission.
View each structure
After Hover finishes everything for your exterior project, you can access measurements, 3D models, and other features for each structure all from the same project details page.
On mobile:
Open the Project Details Page.
Tap the pill below the project details (top center).
Select the structure you want to view from the pop-up menu.
On web:
Open the Project Details Page.
Select the pill at the top of the page to choose a structure from a drop-down menu.

Exterior scans are charged per structure.
If you scan multiple structures firt, and order later (known as the Photos only measurement type), you won’t be charged until you upgrade the project to a roof-only or full exterior measurement type. Hover then upgrades all structures in the project and charges each one separately.

Structures are grouped, not combined. You cannot combine measurements or PDFs, estimates, or 3D models across structures. You also cannot merge older projects into one.

Other integrations may need updates to fully support multiple structures.
