2D Design is where to start when you want to create quick, photorealistic designs from a single photo. It is the fastest way to spark interest with a homeowner by helping them explore ideas, compare styles, and align on what they want before you talk through measurements or pricing.
Saving your designs in Hover Workspace gives you a place to organize different options and prepare good, better, best comparisons for your proposal.
Note: At this time, you and the homeowner cannot work on the same design simultaneously. Real time collaboration is planned for a future update.
Start designing
2D Design can be used with a single photo before a scan, or with photos from a completed scan.
Option 1: Before a scan
From the Hover home screen, tap Start a project OR tap the plus (+) to start a new project
Select the Design ideas or Design instantly option
Choose exterior or interior project
Upload a clear photo of the home or room you want to design
Label the space if prompted, then click Create designs
Option 2: From a completed scan
Open the scanned property's Project Details Page
Tap the Design card to enter Hover Workspace
Choose one of the photos taken during the scan as your initial design image
Scroll through the inspiration feed or customize to edit an image directly
Note: the scan does not need to be fully processed for you to begin designing in 2D.
Then save and review your designs
To save designs from the inspiration feed:
Tap the bookmark icon at the bottom of the design
If you edit the design in workspace, you can save the customizations in either of the following ways:
From the bottom left pop-up menu, or
By tapping Save in the top of the workspace
You can create multiple saved designs to compare different styles and options. Each one is organized within the project, and can be accessed anytime from the project details page. Creating multiple saved designs helps you review options with the homeowner and build a clear set of choices for your proposal.
Your saved work will not automatically transfer to the 3D model. Designs saved in 2D stay in 2D, and designs you save in 3D will stay in 3D.
