Already using CompanyCam for all your photo documentation needs?
CompanyCam built an integration with Hover, which means:
No manual uploading required: Hover photos and measurements route directly to the correct CompanyCam project.
One project, one workflow: All visual documentation (CompanyCam) and measurements (Hover) appear in a single place to keep the field and office aligned.
Faster estimates & smoother insurance documentation: Customers can move from photos to measurements to estimates faster than before.
Cleaner workflow for multi-structure properties: You don't need multiple Hover projects or multiple CompanyCam projects; everything is tied to one job.
How it works
Once you've set up the integration, as shown in this CompanyCam support article, you can leverage its capabilities for both single and multi-structure projects.
There are two ways to use this integration, depending on which one your team set up when you connected the accounts:
Start in CompanyCam (default): Open a Project in CompanyCam and request Hover measurements. This is the current default when the integration is connected.
Start in Hover (legacy): Start a Project in Hover the way you always have. CompanyCam will automatically create a matching Project once the required photo set is captured.
Either way, once a Hover Project exists, photos and measurement reports sync one way — from Hover into CompanyCam. Anything you add directly in CompanyCam (extra photos, notes, documents) stays in CompanyCam and does not sync back to Hover.
This integration works with both single- and multi-structure properties, and is available on select CompanyCam plans.
Everything that syncs:
Photos taken in Hover sync to the matching CompanyCam Project as soon as they're available.
Interior and exterior measurements, plus additional structure documents, sync to the Files tab of that Project (under Documents).
If a Hover Project has multiple structures, they all populate the same CompanyCam Project — each structure gets its own file in the Files tab, so you don't end up with duplicate Projects.
If a Hover Project fails to generate measurements, the CompanyCam Project still exists. Once the failure is resolved in Hover and measurements generate successfully, they'll sync to the Files tab automatically — no duplicates or mismatches.
Setting up the integration
Note: You must be an Admin in CompanyCam to connect this integration, and it can only be connected or managed on the CompanyCam web app.
In CompanyCam, open the App Marketplace under the Integrations section of the left-hand navigation.
Search for and open the Hover card, then click Connect
If the integration was previously connected and then disabled, the button will say Reconnect.
You can change the sync setting, or disconnect and reconnect anytime from CompanyCam's Integrations page.
Choose your sync setting:
Start in CompanyCam and request Hover Measurements from a Project (new default)
Start in Hover and sync the new job into CompanyCam (legacy)
(Optional) Check Sync Primary Contacts to CompanyCam to bring Hover's contact info into the Contact Info section of your CompanyCam Projects.
Click Save, then sign in to Hover and click Allow to authorize the connection.
Important: The email you use to connect the integration must match your Hover account email. If it doesn't, Hover won't receive capture requests sent from CompanyCam.
For full setup details, see CompanyCam's Connecting CompanyCam and Hover article.
Requesting a Hover capture from CompanyCam (default workflow)
Note: You'll need Admin or Manager permissions in CompanyCam to do this.
Open the Project in CompanyCam and click the ellipses button (...)
From the drop-down menu, select Request Hover Measurements.
Select the Hover user who should complete the capture, or enter a homeowner's email to send the request directly to them.
If a customer is already attached to the Project, their email will be filled in automatically.
Click Send measurements request.
The Hover Project is created in draft status until the assigned person opens the request. Once they interact with it, a link to the Hover Project appears in your CompanyCam Project.
From there, it's the same as always: the assigned person captures photos in Hover, Hover generates the measurements, and everything syncs back to the CompanyCam Project: documents flow into the Documents tab, photos flow into the Photos tab.
For a walkthrough of this default workflow, see CompanyCam's Using the CompanyCam + Hover Integration article.
Notes:
Once a request is sent, Request Hover Measurements disappears from that Project until the current capture is completed — you can't send a second request while one is pending.
The default Hover measurement file type will be Photos Only (i.e., Capture Only) when sending capture requests through CompanyCam.
Starting in Hover first (legacy workflow)
If your integration is set to the legacy option, or you just prefer this order:
In Hover, open your Project and click Share.
Select Homeowner or Pro (Teammate), fill in their email, name, and phone number, and add a message if you'd like.
Click Send.
Or, from the Hover mobile app:
Tap the + icon to start a new interior or exterior Project.
Select Interior Measurements or Exterior Measurements.
Enter the property name and address, pick a measurement type (e.g., Full exterior, roof only), and tap Invite to capture (if sending to a homeowner or pro), or tap Get Started if you're ready to capture the photos.
Capture the required photo set — at least 8 photos for exterior Projects. Hover needs this set to generate the model and measurements.
Tap Finish.
Once the required photo set is captured, CompanyCam automatically creates a matching Project — even before Hover finishes generating the model and measurements. While the data in Hover processes, you can open the Hover Project from within CompanyCam to add photos, notes, or other documentation without waiting.
When Hover finishes the measurements, you'll find them in the Files tab of the CompanyCam Project, under Documents.

Do multiple structures create multiple Projects?
Do multiple structures create multiple Projects?
No. Additional structures added inside a Hover Project appear within the same CompanyCam Project. Each structure generates its own file in the Files tab.
Does content added directly in CompanyCam sync back to Hover?
Does content added directly in CompanyCam sync back to Hover?
No. Sync only flows from Hover to CompanyCam. Photos, notes, or documents added directly in a CompanyCam Project won't appear in Hover.
What happens if my email doesn't match my Hover account?
What happens if my email doesn't match my Hover account?
Hover capture requests won't send if the email used to connect the integration doesn't match your Hover account email. Confirm both accounts use the same email, then try again.
What if my Hover Project fails to generate measurements?
What if my Hover Project fails to generate measurements?
The CompanyCam Project will still exist. Resolve the failure in Hover, and once measurements generate successfully, they'll sync automatically to the Documents tab — no duplicates or mismatches.
