What's New? Hover has consolidated the list of measurement statuses that may appear on your jobs and, for projects with multiple structures or levels, the revamped statuses will surface if a specific model needs immediate attention.
Overview
The sprawling list of project statuses (i.e. measurement job statuses) has been consolidated into 11 clear job statuses. This update also changes how the status is displayed for projects with more than one model:
The measurement status for the overall project now reflects the state of whichever model is earliest in the process (e.g., if the measurements and model are ready for the first scanned structure, but the scan of the second structure has just been uploaded, the project status will read: "Uploading"). Also, if any of the models for multi-structure or multi-level projects reach a "Failed" or "Upload Error" state, the main project status will show that from the project details page and/or the project list, so you can take immediate action.
Note: The consolidated list of job statuses reflect scan and measurement statuses only. Inspection or estimate statuses will continue to show separately.
Status labels for scans and measurements
Below is a full list of the 11 statuses that your Hover project may reflect at any given time, and what each one means.
Draft - No scan has been submitted yet. This is applied to shell jobs, jobs shared before a scan exists, and jobs canceled before the upload was completed.
Started - A scan has been initiated but not yet submitted. This is a new label with no prior equivalent.
Uploading - A scan is actively uploading.
Upload Error - An upload was attempted but didn't succeed.
Ready to Order - A photos-only job (f.k.a. capture-only) has been completed and is ready to order, or a job is awaiting approval.
Evaluating - All scans are uploaded and at least one model is still being evaluated before processing.
Processing - The model is being built. The full step-by-step tracker is still visible on the project details page. This state just consolidates the in-between steps for the job list view.
Done - All models for the project have been completed successfully.
Failed - The model(s) failed to generate. For projects with multiple models, this shows as a count (e.g., "2 of 3 failed").
Canceled - The job was canceled through the Support team.
Archived - The job has been moved out of the active job list and is hidden by default, unless you filter for it.
Reminder: The list of job statuses above reflect scan and measurement statuses only. Inspection or estimate statuses will continue to show separately.
In this example image, Hover's project statuses convey that the measurements and model(s) for this project are Done, and the separate inspection for the project has also been completed.
How this works for multi-structure and multi-level jobs
When a project has more than one model, the job list shows a single status for the whole project. That status will reflect whichever model is earliest in the process. For example, if one structure's scan is Uploading and another structure's scan is Processing, the overall project status will show as Uploading. Similarly, if any model hits a Failed or Upload Error state, that project status will show immediately, even if other models in the project are further along.
This means a Hover project with more than one model will no longer reflect a Done status with potentially one or more failed models hiding underneath. The job status now reflects the model that needs your attention most.
Why this is better
One consistent status, everywhere. Whether you check a project status on the mobile or web app, you'll see the same label.
Multi-structure jobs are clearer. You'll immediately see if any model in a project needs attention, instead of a status that masks a failure underneath.
Fewer labels. The previous sprawling list of statuses has been consolidated into 11 that are easier to recognize at a glance.

Will I still see detailed steps like "Building" or "Refining"?
Will I still see detailed steps like "Building" or "Refining"?
Yes. Those steps are still visible in the full tracker on the project details page. They're just grouped under the Processing label on the project list, for simplicity.
Does my job's state reflect my inspection or estimate status, too?
Does my job's state reflect my inspection or estimate status, too?
No. The job state only reflects scan and measurement status. Inspection and estimate statuses will continue to show separately.
For example, there may be instances where an inspection for a project has been completed and the inspection status will reflect that, but the model being generated from the submitted scan may reflect a separate status such as Evaluating, Processing, or even Failed - depending on where it is in the flow.
Can I see archived jobs?
Can I see archived jobs?
Only if you filter for them - archived jobs aren't shown by default.
