Cotality DHA Integration & Wallet Billing Setup

How to configure your Company ID, Wallet Share, and wallet billing selection for the Cotality DHA integration.

This article walks through the setup required for a Cotality Digital Hub Alliance (DHA-C) integration, including how to configure billing between organizations (e.g., an independent adjusting firm and the carrier that assigned the claim), and how the wallet selection works once the integration is live.

Enable the Cotality DHA integration

Note: The integration needs to be enabled by your org admin for Claims Workspace™.

  • Log-in to Claims Workspace™

    • Click your name in the top right corner and select DHA Connections from the drop down menu

    • Select Hover from the DHA Connections page - a left side pop-up will appear

    • Toggle to enable the Hover connection

    • Select the request types and default request types you want accessible - then click Save.

Provide your Symbility Company ID

In order for your organization to have the correct billing permissions, your Cotality Admin will need to provide Hover with your Symbility Company ID.

How to find it from the account menu:

  • In Cotality, click the account name dropdown (top right)

  • Select My Company, then Company info

  • Locate your Company ID, listed under Company Type

Once you have this ID #, contact the Hover Support team so we can complete setup on our end.

Set up a Wallet Share

Setting up a Wallet Share isn't always required - it depends on who you're billing.

You need a Wallet Share if you're billing someone other than yourself.

This applies to independent adjusters, Ladder Assist users, and contractors who bill either their own wallet or the insurance carrier's wallet as the claim "Originator" - even if you only ever work with a single carrier.

  • Originator is the organization that created the claim in Cotality - typically the insurance carrier.

  • If you're the insurance carrier yourself, Own Wallet and Originator Wallet are the same thing. Choosing either has the identical effect of billing your own wallet.

  • If you're not billing a wallet share (e.g., insurance carriers are typically the ones being billed, not the ones doing the billing) you can skip this step. You only need to enable the DHA Connection on your end in Cotality.

If you do need a Wallet Share, contact the Hover Support team or your account team to request one between your organization and the billing organization.

Select the wallet to bill

Once the steps above are complete, you can open a DHA-created job in Hover and choose who it's billed to using the Wallet to Bill dropdown on the DHA connection request:

Important Notes:

  • The Wallet to Bill field only ever shows two options: Own Wallet or Bill to Originator. "Originator" refers specifically to whichever organization sent you the assignment in Cotality. If you create claims yourself rather than receiving an assigned claim, there's no distinct originator, and this cannot be customized per company.

  • Once a job is created through this integration (via Invite to Scan / Invite to Capture), the wallet selection is locked in and cannot be changed.
