What's New? You can now make changes to shutters in 3D Design. Select a shutter on the model and change the style and color to match what's actually going on the home.
Overview
Prior to this update, shutters could not be designed in 3D. You could pull them off the model, but you couldn't swap them for the ones you were actually scoping. So the homeowner was looking at a model that didn't quite match the job.
Not anymore. Shutters now work like any other material in 3D Design. Pick a shutter, pick a profile and color from the catalog, and the model updates on the spot. What's on screen at the kitchen table is what's going on the house
Changing shutter profile and color
Shutters now appear as their own category in 3D Design. Select a shutter and swap its profile or color to match the materials you're putting on the home.
How to change a shutter's profile or color:
Open the 3D model for your project from the Project Details Page.
Select a shutter. Tap a shutter directly on the model, or open the Shutters category in the control panel. Selected shutters highlight in fuchsia, so it's clear which shutters will change.
Select Change to open the shutter catalog.
Select the brand and color that match the product you're scoping.
With this release, you can choose from one of six different shutter styles: Raised Panel, Board & Batten, Louvered, Flat Panel, Combination, or Bahama/Bermuda. Color options are built into the design workflow, no additional setup needed.
Select Done. The model updates to show the new shutter profile and color.
Why this is better
Match what you're installing. The model shows the real shutter style and color, not a placeholder.
Build trust at the table. A model that looks like the real job gets you to yes faster.
Stay in sync. Shutter changes live on the same model as the rest of your scope, so nothing's out of date.
When the model matches the project, the design carries more weight in the conversation, and the path from design to signed contract gets shorter.

Not in this release. You can change the profile and color of shutters already on the model. Adding shutters to windows that don't already exist on the property and model isn't supported yet.
