In this article, we cover how to leverage the Verisk + HOVER integration by starting in XactAnalysis from the web*, manually creating HOVER jobs through the user interface.

NOTE: All Xactimate screenshots reference the desktop version, X1. Some differences will exist if using Xactimate Online (XOR).

NOTE: The workflow outlined below shows the minimum amount of information required for the integration to function. You may need to enter more information for your specific process than is covered here.

*Unlike using XactAnalysis with the automated process (aka EDI file), using XactAnalysis in this way means an admin or a desk adjuster is manually assigning a claim to an adjuster and requesting data from HOVER upfront.


Creating HOVER Claim from XactAnalysis on the Web

Depending on the structure of the organization, the following steps may be completed by an admin or desk adjuster, beforehand. If the assignment has already been created, skip to the heading: Capturing a Property in HOVER.

  • Sign in to XactAnalysis on the web

  • Click on the assignment menu on the top right corner

    • Click on send work assignment

    • Enter in the property address and claim number

    • Click Submit

    • Verify the information and click submit assignment

  • Click Go directly to this assignment in XactAnalysis

  • On the "Select an Action" drop-down menu, click either assign or edit/assign

  • Identify which adjuster should be tied to the claim

  • Click Submit

  • Verify the information and click the Send Assignment button

  • Click Back To Assignment Detail

  • On the action drop-down menu, click export to HOVER

  • You’ll receive a success notification


Capturing a Property in HOVER

  • When onsite at the loss location, open up the HOVER app

  • The XA assignment will automatically appear as a HOVER “Draft” job - Tap to open the job

  • All of the claim details auto-populate from XactAnalysis

  • Tap Take Photos

  • Capture the HOVER photos as normal - walk around the property taking a photo of each face and corner

  • Add damage photos, if desired

  • Tap Continue when done taking photos and then Tap Finish so HOVER can start processing the job:

  • HOVER will notify you when the job is complete


Importing HOVER Data into Xactimate

  • You’ll receive a notification in Xactimate once the HOVER job is ready

  • Back on the Local Projects page, click the project so that it's highlighted in blue

  • Click on the pencil icon which is the 6th icon from the top, on the right side of the screen

  • On the new window, you’ll see the estimator tool on the left side of the screen. Under “Estimate” choose the “Sketch” tab

  • Click the icon in the top left corner of the sketch window

    • You'll see the HOVER measurement data is available to pull in

    • Click Import

  • The HOVER measurements and 2D/3D sketch will import into your estimate

  • From the estimator tool, you can access the Measurement PDF.

    • Click on "Documents", and then click the Reports tab

    • Click the Documents tab

    • Click the Attached Docs tab

  • From the estimator tool, you can click on the “Photos” tab to see all the imported photos for each structure in one place (including damage and annotated photos, if applicable).

    • HOVER photos imported via the Verisk integration are labeled with the location they were taken around the property (i.e. Front, Front Right, Right, Back Right, etc.)
