Already using SmartRoofing.ai to automate your roofing workflows?
SmartRoofing built an integration with Hover to bring verified property measurements into your workflow. Once connected, you can request a Hover capture from within SmartRoofing.ai, and the completed measurements will flow into your record automatically — no manual entry required.
Connect your Hover account
Before you can request Hover measurements within the SmartRoofing platform, you need to link your Hover account to SmartRoofing.ai. This is a one-time setup.
In SmartRoofing.ai, go to Estimates → Settings → Hover Integration.
Enter your Hover account email address.
Click Connect to Hover.
When it redirects to the Hover page, sign in with your Hover credentials and click Allow to authorize the connection.
You can disconnect this connection at any time from the same Estimates → Settings → Integrations page.
Note: To set up this connection, you need your own active Hover account with the ability to order property measurements. Capture requests ordered through this integration are billed under your standard Hover per-capture/deliverable pricing — SmartRoofing.ai does not include or cover these costs.
Request Hover measurements
You can import Hover measurements in one of two ways: Either by sending a capture request, or importing an existing Hover job.
To send a new capture request:
Within the SmartRoofing platform, select Estimates → Jobs
Select a contact, and from the selected contact click or tap:
Create Estimate if an estimate doesn't exist yet.
Edit Estimate if you're working on an existing, saved estimate.
If you're creating a new estimate, you will see a pop-up to choose your service type(s) then click Save.
Open the Measurements Report tab within the estimate, and select Hover as the measurement source.
Enter the property address and information for the capture request recipient.
Click Send Capture Request - This creates a draft job in the Hover platform and notifies the assigned rep to capture the property.
To import an existing Hover job you will complete all the same steps as above, except after selecting Hover as the measurement source in the estimate's Measurements Report tab, you will:
Click Import Existing Job
Enter the Hover job/project name, and click Search
Select Import
Note: The measurement type (i.e. deliverable) requested through this integration is always Complete, Full Exterior (3D model with roof, and walls) — there's no option to select a different measurement type.
Access the completed Hover measurements within SmartRoofing
If you import an existing Hover job, the data will populate immediately within the estimate's Measurements Report tab. If you sent a capture request, your SmartRoofing estimate record will automatically update as soon as Hover finishes building the model,
The following populate directly from Hover's measurements:
Roof area
Ridges
Hips
Valleys
Eaves
Rakes
Pitch
You can also view and download the Hover measurement PDF within the record.
